It must be said that one britisher alone had boasted to having killed more than 1500 elelphants. Considering the british rule lasted from 1815 to 1948, will let the readers imagine the full count.

A great source of what was their, are the Portuguese. Who have given information of seeing packs of elephants 300-400 at a time plus deer amounts into the thousands in packs. Today it would be a sure fantasy to imagine such sites.
