Sinhala Achievements

In Chronological order

*125 000yrs old sites with ancient tools are currently been excavated in the extreme south eg Pattherajawala.

* These are 40 000 yrs old, discoveries made by Archaeology dept: Stone bow, Clothing Noodles.http://www.sinhalaheritage.org/Bata domba-lena.html

* 35 000yrs ago at Pahiyangala, ability to dig 35 feet in stone cave and then line the hole, from the bottom to the top with stones and so storage of food known a sign of agriculture. And a ladder or rope climb back out again. Also here was found the now named Kalu Kumari, she is found to have had diet consisting of rice, maize and salt. This is the oldest evidence in the world of this!!http://www.sinhalaheritage.org/Pahi yangala_caves.html

* Mircolith technology by 35 000 yrs ago on par with South Africa while Indian Subcontinent and Europe,15 000yrs and 12 000yrs respectively.

* American and Swiss archaeologists have found that acupuncture was founded in Ceylon as early as 34 000yrs ago. International conference held regarding this in 2001. Lanka has acupuncture for humans, animals especially the elephants and for plants.

* Building of housing by 30 000yrs and so understanding of society eg in Pahiyangala.

* Copper factories examined by German historians and estimated to be 25 000yrs old found(Needs to be verified).

* 30 000yr old necklaces and earrings found in the Central province.

* Invented the Concept of zero, known as the Nahutha (Sahakitha). He was renown mathematician, who ruled Lanka during this time. His sel lipi on Rangirimada rock reads( BATHA NAHUTHA SHAHKITHA RAKDHANA ABAYA NAGARIYANA SHAGASHA). If we look at the Mahawamsa, Abaya was capital of Lanka during Kakusandha Buddha and if we take into account that each Buddha appears every 5000yrs. That gives us a date of 17500yrs. Could it be that Nahutha sel lipi shows, that their were Hela Kings as early as that?? During the Kotte Yuga a poetry book "Parakumba Siritha" composed, has in its 9th verse a remark regarding this great king.

* First to move from hunter-gatherer to agriculture, by 17 000yrs ago, even at high altitudes evidence of agriculture has been found including 12 000BC barley and wheat production in Maha Eliya(Hortan Plains). While in second place in Sumer in Iraq, dated around 6000BC.

* First concept of medicine, Rawana wrote seven medical books eg Kumaratanthram, Arkaprahasham and Nadipariksha. These books are still published in India. He also found 4444 diseases and found a single herb cures for nearly all and had said that eating beef can make you vulnerable to 93 diseases.

* Literary records eg Ramayana, show the production of steel more than 10 000yrs ago during Rawana era. (Needs to be verified).

* The ECTARA, said to be the first stringed instrument containing just one string was invented by King Rawana, can be found in New Delhi Museum in India. Also the called Ravana Vina.

* To this day China with a History of 10 000yrs calls the Sinhela nation, the mother of their civilization.

* Said to have initiated world’s first medical council 10 000yrs ago and still the book published about the conference can be found in India, as the conference was held in the Himalayas, Rawana and his grand father Pulasti were chairpersons. I myself have seen the book published regarding the details on the conference.

* In 1998 Dr Hawkeys of Arizona State University, researching the dental traits of the Indus valley people from their remains had found only a match to two peoples:

1. The Austro-Asiatic tribes of North East India, whom even today claims to be Naga.
2. The Sinhala of Lanka.

Plus the DNA from these same Indus valley peoples(Sinhala & Austro-Asiatics), have been found on Egyptians(1900BC - 200AD) and ancient Nubians(Ethiopia(1575-1380BC))

This then led her to create an idea that Lanka's had in times past traveled outside and started to populate areas, not just in Asia but across the globe. It is also plausible to say that the Indus Civilization is in FACT, a Sinhala Civilization now!!

* Named Africa: Ca’Apari, Greeks pronounced it as Apari’Ca, Romans said Africann, modern Europeans said Africa. It is said by eminant historians like Arisan Ahu Budu that, we gave the name after meeting African slaves in India. The word Negro comes from our word for the people of Africa, Ne’ga’ro.

* The Americas: Patala means land below our feet, and you look on the globe, you find the America's is right on the opposite side. The great King Bali’s Father left to go and live in Patala and his name was Virochana(See Gallery) and you have in South America many ancient tales about a great man who arrived from west(west of the Americas is Asia, although any mention of the word "the west", its automatic to think of Europe) bringing civilization, his name pronounced today as Virococha.

Fig. shows both the Statue of Virochana(ViroCocha) and Pulasti, both great teachers holding manuscripts.

  • Named parts of Europe: Originally a Sinhela clan named Danava(Danaouwa) left the Indus valley and arrived in the region. This region was named Hiru Pa (ayepar), meaning NO Sunlight. People who say to no to sun. European sources have disclosed that there is a large mount of evidence for this, especially through place names, such as the Danube River taken from Dandube a Danava king and family member to Manodari(Wife of Rawana). Our Hiru Pa(apar) became to Greeks Euro pa, which is still in use by Mainland Europe. To this day the Greeks call themselves Hellas and while our own Cultural Ministry is called the "Sri Lankan Cultural Ministry", theirs is called the "Hella Cultural Affairs Ministry".

Claims are made by the respected Anglo/American Historian David Frawley inc, that Denmark is in fact Davana Marga(Path of Danava).

There is also evidence in the Celtic myths that they may have been from Lanka itself. Its a known historical fact the Celtic peoples had arrived from Asia but from where not a certain but their myths state that they came from "Avalon", which translates to "Lion Kingdom". In history only ONE "Lion Kingdom" existed and that is Lanka.

    * Dr Hawkeys of Arizona State University states supported by Cornell University that, "the first anatomically modern humans (AMHS) in South Asia are from Sri Lanka. This stands opposed to the 'Out of Africa' theory, which can now be contested with Sri Lanka’s early material of Balangoda Man constituting the empirical basis."

Also according to the findings of the world renown archeologist, Dr Siran Deraniyagala. The Balangoda man traits are seen the Veddha and Sinhala communities. So proving the decent of these communities to the Balangoda man of 35,000yrs ago.http://www.sinhalaheritage.org/Bata domba-lena.html
  • First and only ancient people to use of wind power technology, such as to produce non rusting steel by 1500BC these were exported and have been found from India to Syria. Evidences of this technology were fully investigated Jill Juleff(Pic Below)and remains still can be seen at sites eg Samanalaweva.

Fig. Shows a 3rd Century Damascus Steel Sword.

Damascus steel is a hot-forged steel used in Middle Eastern sword making from about 1100 to 1700AD. Damascus swords were of legendary sharpness and strength, and were apocryphally claimed to be able to cut through lesser quality European swords and even rock. The technique used to create original Damascus steel is now a matter of historical conjecture. Many raw materials, and the metal smiths' recipes, are no longer available. The foundation for Damascus Steel is Wootz Steel, which originated in India and Sri Lanka and later spread to Persia. From the 3rd century to 17th century, India was shipping steel ingots to the Middle East for use in Damascus Steel.

Metal smiths in India and Sri Lanka perhaps as early as 300BCE developed a new technique known as wootz steel that produced a high-carbon steel of unusually high purity. Glass was added to a mixture of iron and charcoal and then heated. The glass would act as a flux and bind to other impurities in the mixture, allowing them to rise to the surface and leave a more pure steel when the mixture cooled. Thousands of steel making sites were found in Samanalawewa area in Sri Lanka that made high carbon steel as early as 300BCE. (Juleff, 1996). These steel making furnaces were built facing western monsoon winds and wind turbulence and suction was used to create heat in the furnace. Steel making sites in Sri Lanka have been dated to 300BCE using carbon dating technology and are much older than any in India.

According to Will Durant (The Story of Civilization I: Our Oriental Heritage), the secret of manufacturing Damascus steel was learned by the Arabs from the Persians, and by the Persians from India and Sri Lanka. It is further believed that the people of the Indian subcontinent learned the techniques from the Chinese but it must said their is steel swords from Lanka in the Bangalore National Museum, which after 3500yrs still haven't rusted. Plus what makes this exhibit amazing, is that it states how these swords were made by ancient Sinhala.

Persian Royal inscription in Sinhala found on the Kabah of Zartusht. An account of how Zoroastrianism was propagated beyond Iranian territories during the Third Century, and other religions suppressed.

Fig. above is the old persian flag, showing the Lion, Sword and Sun. Could this mean that maybe the Persian royals have Sinhala origins??

  • Siva Tandava Sloka found in the Sama Veda, was written by Rawana.

    * Kasmira Rajathranganiya also says that the flag of the Kasmira Kings, was that of Vibeheeshna. Could the Kasmira Kingdom have been founded by the ancient Hela Kings??

    * Founded the Kingdom of Kasmira by Kuvera the stepbrother to Lord Rawana. He conquered two regions Kasa and Kinnara and Pamir valley, made the capital called Alankarapura.

    * First universities as far back as 9000yrs ago, such Sigriya which was hydro technological college, which is today because Western thinking only said to go back to 1500yrs old but the fact that burials going to 20 000yrs have are their are deliberately ignored. The Uttarawamsa which contained the most accurate and in depth details, is lost in Lanka!! There are still people in the region that know this knowledge!!

    * First forms of robotics, it is written in Ramayana that Rawana’s bedroom had statues, which moved and fanned him. The Ramayana was written 2500yrs ago on events that occurred around 10 000yrs ago. In the 16th Century when the Portuguese came to the Sinhela Kingdom they found many of the temples had moving robotic statues(Culavamsa).

    * The engineers behind two of the Great Pyramids verified by ancient Egyptian records and from the history of the Kingdom of Kasmira called the "Kasmira Rajathranganiya". This book is to Kasmira historians, what the Mahawamsa to Lanka's. Also from folk tales existing amongst the Sinhela.

Invented two of the world’s religions:

o Veda of Hinduism (Pancha Manawa, five clans PURU, YADU, TURVASHA, DASYU and ANU). These five originated from Yayati a Vedic king who's two wives were of "Hela" origin.

o Zoroastrianism (Bahai faith) is based on ancient Sinhela kingly priest who lived in Indo/Persia called Asura Medha in Persian its Ahura Mazda.

    * The pump was in use as early as 300BC eg to water the Jasmine flowers on the Maha Stupa on its ceremony. While today the invention is given to the Greeks who are said to invented it in 100BC.

    * First use hydro technology, invented such items as the valve pit(bisokotuwa). Already had spray jets and spa centers before the Romans eg Ranmasu Uyana.

*The first recorded contact between the EAST & WEST...1st AD. A Roman tax collector, stranded at sea is rescued by Sinhalese ships, after been hit by a storm. He is Annius Plocamus. It is said after spending 6months in Sinhale, he convinces the king to have contact with Rome. Thus leads to the king sending a emissary to the roman emperor....These details are given in Vol VI Pliny the Elder, The Natural History. http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/cgi-bi n/ptext?doc=Perseus%3Atext%3A1999.0 2.0137&query=head%3D%23256

The interview, with the whom the Romans call Rachia, gives an idea of what Sinhale Kingdom was like in the 1st Century AD. It is also said the the Romans had never seen ships as big as the Sinhala ships, this is confirmed by Chinese records, that state that the Ships of the Lion Kingdom are biggest in the World!!

*King Mahasen in the 4th Century, built the Great Jetawana Dagaba. This was in fact listed as the 3rd Wonder of the World by the Romans. The height was over 400ft, making it the 3rd largest monument of the ancient world and biggest brick monument of the ancient of world.

    * First hospitals eg Mihintala, Medegiriya:http://www.lankalibrary.com/geo/hos pitals.htm .... Heinz E Müller-Dietz (Historia Hospitalium 1975) describes Mihintale Hospital as being perhaps the oldest in the world.

    * The "Kasmira Rajathranganiya" says, upon request a delegation had left Lanka to built two Wevas. Plus gold clothes were been imported to Kashmira as early as the 4th Century AD from Lanka. The story says that a minister had suggested Sinhala engineers for the job, knowing the Sinhala were the engineers behind the Pyramids.

*The Persian Fairy tale 'The Princes of Serendip'....written in 405AD....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Th ree_Princes_of_Serendip

    * Set up the First Universities in SE Asia at Java (Indonesia) in the 7th Century. This was the Abayagiri Chapter and many historians do believe the world famous Borobudur, may have been designed by Sinhala priests.

    * Discovered mosquitoes carried malaria 75 yrs before it was discovered by an Englishman, this is verified by the book by Sir Emerson Tennet in his book "Ceylon History". Obviously the Englishman has received the credit for its discovery.

After reading all these details, it does beg the question "Is this why, the West is so intent on trying to destroy the Sinhala people and Sinhala Civilization??
